Lauren Aleza Kaye collaborates with researchers and doctors to create visualizations of their research (under the name Pel+Atom). She began animating in the Aspuru-Guzik Research Group while getting a Bachelors in Chemistry at Harvard University. She scaled back contract work in 2016 to join the Imagine Science Film Festival, a venue for the release of new and experimental works bridging science and film, and an active network/training ground for those who want to communicate scientific ideas to the public. Since 2017 she has been the festival’s Managing Director.

The work on this site is being used in a variety of ways including:

  • at a recent exhibition at the Rubin Museum in NYC

  • in publications by IBM, the Department of Energy and labs worldwide

  • as tutorials showcasing new surgical methodologies

  • as explainer videos for a startup that just raised $27 million

  • directly in scientific studies at Princeton University
