Quantum computers are expected to be more efficient at performing certain computations than classical machines. One such set of computations would include those that calculate properties of molecules. Indeed, it makes sense that a controllable quantum system - in the form of a quantum circuit - could be used to simulate a less accessible quantum system - such as a molecule.
For the DOE, I illustrated a generalized quantum circuit.
For this paper by Joonsuk Huh et al., I illustrated a circuit which outputs a molecular vibronic spectra.
